As the founder of Kite Curiosities, Alice explores kites as a canvas for drawing and printmaking, and teaches kite workshops. She has created workshops for Second State Press, The Philadelphia School (TPS), Abington Friends School, Cora Services, The Tacony LAB Community Arts Center, Mural Arts, InLiquid/Park Towne Place and Capital One.
Email Alice if you are interested in designing a custom kite workshop for your organization or family gathering. (It’s a great birthday activity.) In person workshops are limited to the Greater Philadelphia Area in Pennsylvania.

I have moved many times and my concept of home is no longer a building. It has become a set of memories and relationships that I sometimes want to reel in, and at other times let go.
Cut paper (masa paper) applied to window
This installation was created for Councilman Bobby Henon’s office window facing Torresdale Avenue during a residency with Tacony LAB and Mural Arts Philadelphia. The work is inspired by the brick row houses along Tulip Street locally known as “Castle Row”, built by English masons in 1888 for Disston Saw Works laborers.
