I’ve been creating small kites that fly high!
I draw the designs by hand, and lovingly screen print small editions at Second State Press, a fantastic community print shop in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood.
The pictured kites are made of Tyvek with a bamboo frame. The sails depict rowhomes in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia, where I live. I look forward to depicting more Philly places, and exploring a variety of kite forms as I continue this work.
You can hang my kites on the wall as art, you can take them to the beach for flying, or you can get two and do both! See you at Cherry Street Pier!
